Breaded and Fried Scallops

  • 1 egg
  • half cup bay scallops, or extra to taste

  • 1 half teaspoons lemon juice

Instructions :

  • Mix bread crumbs, salt, and pepper in a resealable plastic bag.
  • Whisk egg lightly in a bowl. Dip scallops in egg; area inside the bread crumb combination within the bag. Seal bag and shake until scallops are covered with bread crumbs.
  • Bring butter, olive oil, and lemon juice to a simmer in a skillet over medium-excessive warmth. Add breaded scallops; cook, shaking skillet every so often, till browned, 6 to 7 minutes.

Notes :

  • Use plain bread crumbs if preferred.
  • I use bay scallops, however sea scallops could also be true.
